We all love the Student Life Center. There's a huge TV in there with a killer sound system. The gym is cool too, so all of us can work off those extra beer calories and catch the girl/guy of our dreams. Ping pong rocks not just because it rocks, but because it's free. This brings me to the point of this gripe. The pool tables should be free. Like we really can afford to spend 50 cents on a game of pool. If I've got to pay to play, I'll go down to the bar and play while I get drunk and bitch about the pool tables here. One would think our activity fee covers the cost of the games. Give me a break, like the school can't afford to cut us a deal on a 50 cent game of pool? C'mon. Perhaps if they would loosen up their water tight asses and stop stealing our money in every way possible, maybe we would take advantage of the more social aspects on campus. Billingsly has pool tables also, however do you see anyone ever playing them? No, everyone just sits around and stares at them, drooling and wondering how they can come up with the money to play. So they sit, all the while the pool tables are getting dustier than a Christian gospel cd in a metal head banger club. It would be cool to hang out and play some pool with my friends without having to take out another student loan. |
